Mr Potts gets up quite early and all this week has had bacon for breakfast. He bought this from Waitrose on Monday. This morning the packet of bacon was on the table, so I put it away in the fridge. Next time he came downstairs he said ‘ I left that packet of bacon out as I am taking it back to Waitrose. It says 10 slices on the packing and there are only 5.’

Fortunately I had a quick look – by this morning he had already had 4 slices so there was only one to take back – and on the packet it said 10 THIN slices. He has been having 2 slices stuck together every day.

So I saved him the walk to Waitrose.
