In a street just north of Euston station is the Magic Circle where we were invited to celebrate the romantic marriage of a friend’s daughter. They went off to Gretna Green and got married without any fuss – which I have to say I totally applauded. So instead of having to go to a wedding, we went to a very jolly party, had lots of delicious champagne, a magic performance and a splendid dinner!! Even better at dinner Mr Potts was seated next to the hostess and I was seated next to the host – very honoured.
