Dearie Me! Look what happened to my lovely tea towel. Mr Potts was involved but as he was cooking something and it was an Accident, never mind.

I see Nicholas Crane is visiting Saffron Walden (TV tonight). When I was there recently I bought a little china house and a cup with writing on it, which I loved immediately. Not expensive but nice. Almost as soon as I got home I dropped the cup and broke it – so sad. Anyway I mended it and it’s still lovely. It says

‘I wish you health & wealth,

I wish you gala in store,

I wish you heaven after death,

What could I wish you more

Isn’t that good? Don’t know who lives in the house, most probably a little old lady with a burnt tea towel and a broken cup?
